L M Porter is a family owned business, formed in 1991 by Lochy and Debbie Porter. Since then, production has expanded across their farms and continues to do so, as new systems and plant varieties are implemented to ensure continuous production of high-quality fruit for 6 months of the year.

Our Crops
Our season starts in April and finishes in November. The main jobs starting from spring are planting, weeding, separation of flowers and leaves, leaf trimming, pruning, runner cutting, cleaning, strawing, grass cutting, tunnel construction and tunnel covering.

Working at Our Farms
We have a range of work available on our farms from picking, husbandry work, planting, tunnel building, general farm work and packhouse work. All pickers are trained by staff who can communicate in Polish, Russian, English, Bulgarian, Nepalese, Romanian, Latvian and Lithuanian.
